Lucknow: The state government is continuously working in the interest of farmers. From 01 April 2023, free electricity is being given for operating private tube wells. At the same time, to provide more facilities to the farmers, the Urban Development and Energy Minister has announced to provide 12 hours of electricity supply instead of 10 hours for agricultural feeders.
The Energy Minister said that due to less rainfall in many districts of the state, farmers should not face any problem in transplanting paddy, irrigation and other agricultural works, for this, the schedule of 10 hours of power supply of agricultural feeders will be increased by 02 hours and now electricity will be given for 12 hours.
The Energy Minister said that in such areas of the state where due to less rainfall, farmers are facing problems in transplanting paddy and doing other agricultural works and protecting the crop from drying. In such areas where there are no canals for irrigation of crops and irrigation is being done through tube wells, there, to solve the problems of farmers, 02 hours increase has been made in the electricity being given to agricultural feeders.
